As the Director of the Wave Energy Centre I invite all the companies and R&D institutions willing to develop wave energy and recognizing the need for international cooperation to join the Centre, in particular those willing to use the very favorable natural and legal conditions in Portugal for the initial phase of development and demonstration of wave energy devices, as well as those searching for Portuguese partners.

The Wave Energy Centre was legally established in March 27, 2003, as a private non-profit centre devoted to the development and promotion of wave energy utilization through technical and strategic support to companies, thus with activities complementary to those of the European Wave Energy Network and the Implementing Agreement on Ocean Energy System of the International Energy Agency (IEA/OES).
